INNOVATIVE ONE STOP SHOP FOR ELECTION NEWS
A blog that beings together all the latest political information in one click has just been launched.
Created by innovative new media company Tandem Voice Booth, Beehive Buzz (www.beehivebuzz.co.nz) is a new style political blog that cuts clicks. The Beehive Buzz blog includes video and audio from all the political parties, bloggers and traditional media. It also features independent bloggers from a wide range of political views.
Beehive Buzz editor Alex Marett is currently studying at Canterbury University as a post graduate student in political science.
Alex says “in the recent Australian elections and democratic primaries we have witnessed a huge shift in how people are consuming political news. Beehive Buzz is innovative in the way we can bring all the separate views from both the left and the right together on the one website. It is the best way to stay in touch with the political commentaries on the internet and in traditional media”
Beehive Buzz publisher Dave Dunlay from Tandem Voice Booth said ‘we wanted to create a website that would be a showcase of new and social media that combines blogging, RSS feeds and online video along with podcasting.
“We created a world first with our 2005 podcast election series. For this election we wanted to establish a website that would feature online video and audio interviews with leaders from each political party recorded in our studios at Tandem Voice Booth. No other website will have this content created specifically for the internet and for the many kiwis overseas Beehive Buzz will help keep them connected,” says Dave Dunlay.
Beehive Buzz has all the internet’s political coverage and comment at the one site and it is the only South Island based political website.
