Voter Turnout
Here is a rough graph of the official voter turnout (%) over 1981-2008 General Elections. There is an overall trend of decline dating back from 1996.

What is the trend like if you go back 50 years? It would be interesting to see it contrasted against the various political highs and lows to see if there was a correlation.
